Pioneer DRM-604X quad-speed six-disc external minichanger. Load 6 discs in a single removable magazines. Automatic switching among discs eliminates the need for disc swapping minimizing disk damage and loss. Additionally, users can categorize, store, and group their CD-ROMs in magazines. The DRM-604X is SCSI-2 which interfaces with DOS, Windows, or Macintosh platforms. True 600 KBps data transfer rate, four times standard CR/ROM speed. Burst transfer of 3MBps, drive is PhotoCD and MPC compatible, five second disc access time (1/2 speed of the competition), total capacity of 3.96 gigabytes, SCSI daisy chain up to seven (7) total for nearly 28 Gigs online. Similar jukeboxes such as NSM and Kubik retail for $8000. High-speed access of 300mS., look ahead read buffer of 128KB, auto sensing 110/220V 50/60Hz, bundled with device drivers for DOS and MAC. Requires SCSI connection.
