• Nov 24, 99: Note redesign for the Coco Preservation society's web site.
• Nov 24, 99: Falsoft has made available their remaining Rainbow Magazine back issues through an online E-Commerce site. Prices seem high on first glance, but after some reflection they probably do reflect what these items are worth (they are in mint/unread condition after all). Considerable time was also invested in the web site's production - including cover scans. Hey - the original Cococat costume is forsale!
• Nov 24, 99: Curtis Boyle has added a Win95 Bootup hoax to his OS-9 page. He's not giving away exactly what it does, so you'll have to check it out yourself :)
• Nov 24, 99: Nickolas Marentes has made available an MPEG video of his upcoming release "Gate Crasher". Keep up the good work Nick! Nick has also released his software collection bundle.
• Nov 24, 99: Paul Barton's Cocozilla has a new homepage. Now there is one central location to keep track of this talented Coco hacker's creations.
• Nov 9, 99: Stuart Wyss has created a new screen dump for Hewlett Packard printers.
• Nov 9, 99: Brian Hall is interested in starting a Coco 3 emulation project for Linux machines (YAH!). At the moment he has "no website [and] no code" but he does have plenty of C and Linux experience. He'd like to explore using MAME as a base for the emulator. Anyone interested in helping him out - please send him an email.
• Nov 9, 99: "SKAUGHT" notes that the Coco can also be spotted in the "Revenge of the Nerds" movie, during the final concert.
• Nov 9, 99: Paul Barton reports that tests on the 8Mb Upgrade board are proceeding with good success, but he'd like to converse with others about how to get new 6309 test code onto his machine. He doesn't have EDTASM and finds converting assembly from a crosscompiler on MSDOS to be a pain too.

• Oct 15, 99: First some bad news... it seems we've finally come to the realization that Stephen Disney has "disappeared into thin air" with some of the Coco community's hard earned money. He's left quite a mess behind him too. Publication of "The World of 68 Micros" will be permanently discontinued, and the MP3 "learn the 6809" project is of course down the tubes - as well as the bulk purchase of 6309's from South Africa. Anyone who has information about where this person is - and why he's ignored repeated attempts to get a hold of him PLEASE contact someone within the Coco Community. I have in the past listed Mr. Disney's offerings on this page and I apologize if you have sent him money because of this - at the time of the postings no one had any reason to doubt the sincerity of this person. In general, the Coco Community continues to be comprised of the finest people you will find anywhere - people with whom you can deal with confidence. And now on to the more positive things.

• A Nitros-9 mailing list has been set up for Nitros users. To join, send an Email to Majordomo@striker.ottawa.on.ca with "subscribe nitro" in the body.
• Color Computer discussion often takes place in the comp.sys.tandy newsgroup which covers all Tandy Computers. The group maintains a homepage.
• alt.comp.dragon is a newsgroup dedicated to the Dragon Computer - a coco Clone from the UK.
• comp.os.os9 is a newsgroup dedicated to discussion of OS-9.
• comp.sys.m6809 is a newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of the Motorola 6809 microprocessor which the Coco uses.
• Delphi runs its OS-9 Late night discussion once a week / Tuesday 9:00pm EST. Here is a sample schedule from 1996. Also, Delphi still maintains a Coco/OS-9 Forum which you can access free of charge from the web. For more information visit The Delphi Homepage.
• Brazil has a Coco mailing list. Messages are written in Portugese only, and you can join it by sending a message to esquina-das-listas@dcc.unicamp.br with "inscreva cp400" in the message body.
• Find a BBS on the Fidonet network. Ask the sysop to carry the COCO and OS9 echos which are on the fidonet backbone. These echos are visited by many Coco enthusiasts who are not connected to the net.

• Adventure Survivors is a club for people interested in playing Adventure type games on the Coco. They offer a newsletter that is mailed to members and assist both members and non-members in solving Coco adventure games. Membership is $7/year ($8/year in Canada & Mexico). If you are stuck on a particular adventure, back issues of their newsletter are available. For $1 I purchased an issue which finally let me solve Mark Data's Trekboer!
• High Score Board - here's the place to show off your high score. Includes a tips and hints section. 
• The Caves of the Unwashed Heathen is a new Freeware Coco 1/2/3 game that has just been released by Paul Schoemaker. This game is of the 3D-D&D (ultima?) genre. If you want to run it on a Coco 1/2 or the emulator, you will have to edit out the Coco 3 commands. Check out Paul's web page for more information on this game and his other programming projects.
• An online Guide to Solving Leisure Suit Larry.
• A high quality Coco3 game called CROID has been released into the public domain (requires 128k and 2 button joystick). Drive your robot around the maze - very entertaining. Don't forget a copy of UNARC512K so you can decompress the archive.
• A link from Brazil that has a large number of commercial coco games available for download. Lots of pictures too!
• The Internet Dragon Software Archive - HUGE collection of commercial games etc. Mostly for Dragon emulator.
• Software archive by Steve Hartford who used to program Coco games. Copies of Star Trader - a Coco 1/2 classic are available from this site.
• Dungeons of Daggorath homepage - one of the classic Color Computer games of all-time is honored with its own webpage where fans can exchange hints and tips. Includes information on running "DoD" on an emulator. Also includes an online version of the original documentation!

• Your Coco can be used to access the WWW (in text mode) and send/receive EMAIL. To do this you will need a VT100 capable terminal program like the Freeware OSTerm 2.0.13 for OS-9 and a shell account through an internet provider. Freenets & Community Networks offer limited shell accounts to the public - usually for free.

• Cloud-9 Offers a new 512k SIMM upgrade, an address bus buffer to protect your CPU (a must for 6309 users), a SCSI w/parity board (add a CDROM, ZIP or JAZZ drive to your Coco!) 2mb upgrades, IBM AT keyboard adapters for the Coco (very neat - I finally bought one) and a variety of used items.
• CoNect offers the Fast232 RS-232 cartridge (with 16550 UARTS!) for the Coco, and stocks many Tandy software titles. Contact Rick Ulland for more information. Also available at incredible prices are copies of OS-9 Level 1 and 2. CoNect is offering an OS-9 Level 2 bundle for coco 3 users. The package includes OS-9 L2, Basic09, Multiview GUI, 6 Tandy applications, PD stuff, and the system is patched and set-up for 512k cocos for $44.95.
• Jim Davis has taken over sales of Sundog Systems' Games (including Kyumgai, Photon, Quest for Thelda, War Monger etc) and Coco Pro software (including VTERM, a RSDOS VT-100 terminal, OS-9 utilities, Simply Better Coco 3 word processor) from Rick's Computer Enterprise. • Delmar Corporation sells the Sculptor v1.16 development language for Coco OS-9 Level II. Send Email to the company running the Sculptor Web page for more information on how to obtain a copy.
• Digital Frontier Productions sells Shellmate file management software for OS9 Level 2. Also other MM1 software.
• Dorsette Educational Systems still has their line of Color Computer software available.
• Elite Software sells word processing, spreadsheet, database and communications software for the Coco 1,2 and 3. They also have a RS-DOS<->MSDOS Transfer program called Elite*Xfer.
• Falsoft still has some back issues of The Rainbow magazine available.
• Farna Systems has recently taken over most of Northern Exposure's product line. Available are Nitros-9 OS, Os9 Tuneup, Shanghai OS-9, Thexder OS-9 and Rusty (starts DECB programs from OS-9). Farna also sells books on learning OS9, Coco technical reference & history manuals, reference manuals etc. Farna also sells genealogy software, "Inside Disto's 2Mb ram upgrade" ($10), Pixel Blaster OS-9 graphical tools, Patch OS-9 (which includes all the latest 6809 L2 patches), Digiscan Video Digitizers, mini disk drive controllers, and bare 512k upgrades.
• Robert Gault Software offers: a 6309 patch to Edtasm, CC3FAX for SW fax receival, a RGB-DOS-RSDOS-OS9 conversion util, smartwatch drivers, and RGBOOST, which speeds up DECB with a 6309.
• Marty Goodman M.D. the legendary Coco hacker is still tinkering with Color Computers. Contact him for information on upgrading Multi-pak interfaces. Be sure to send him your Multipak's catalog number. Marty also offers an EPROM burning service for ADOS users & general repair and modification services for the Coco.
• Roger Hallman (formerly of Coless Computer Design) is also back on the Coco scene with his Coco World web page. Watch for a shareware release of CIII PagesE, the coco's premiere DTP program and download a freeware Coco 3 <--> Coco 3 transfer program.
• Hawksoft sells hires joystick interfaces that easily switch between hi-low settings. Chris has also designed a very interesting PC I/O board adapter for the Coco which allows the Coco to use standard 16550 IBM PC serial cards. Also X-10 control software and modules, a Coco game (Domination), MYDOS RSDOS enhancement, a 5' Coco keyboard cable and MM/1 software.
• Warren Hrach offers RI BBS To Go set of disks for RIBBS. This OS-9 L2 BBS package is extremely capable and even offers Fidonet compatibility.

• Northern Exposure's products have been taken over by Farna systems (see above).
• Planet 9 Systems is re-releasing some classic Coco software and also working on new projects. Available are a OS-9 -> ROM kit, Dynacalc Spreadsheet and EPROM services.

• Star-K Software offers the Star-Dos OS (FLEX-like) for Coco 1&2; Humbug monitor for Coco, Dragon & MC-10; Check N'Tax; Remoterm; Commterm for MC-10 & Coco; Eliza; & Newtalk programs.
• John Strong runs Strongware - and offers the Coco games Gems and Soviet Bloc
• Sub Etha Software published many titles for the Coco. It's not operating at the moment but still maintains a web site.
• Tandy's support homepage includes Radio Shack information. Don't expect anything Coco specific, but there are support files for Tandy printers and modems. You can still order new Coco software from your local Radio Shack! All you need to do is order from their parts catalog. If they don't have one handy here is a partial list of part numbers.
• Tandy also offers a software replacement program from which you can order Color Computer software at considerably cheaper prices. Call 1-800-433-2024 to order; they tell you to go to a Radio Shack store and ask for the RSU book. Go to the Royal Blue Section. Look for a tab marked "Hard To Find Software" and look at pages 3C2-16,17, and 18.
• Taylor Graphics offers the Projector-3 graphics interchange system. Will also install a 6309 into your coco.

• L. Curtis Boyle's web page is online. Curtis (who used to live down the street from me WAY back) is an extremely talented Coco programmer who is still actively hacking away. He was also the first person who showed me how great my new Coco really was. He also has Nitros-9 beta information available from it.

I AM LOOKING FOR OLD RADIO SHACK CATALOGUES which had Coco stuff in them... especially the Canadian ones that I drooled over way back when. I'd love to put pictures of them on the homepage. I am also looking for the following Coco software & hardware but I'm not willing to pay a lot for them: Window Writer both Cer-Comp and Owlware versions, Checkbook+ OS-9 version, Calendar utilities by MV Systems, any of the Robot Arm type attachments that were sold, any of the CP/M adapter cards that were sold for the Coco 1, WordPak II, Cyrus chess cartridge.
